Brass 2.5" Military-Style Lensatic Scout Compass in a wood box
This solid brass compass was originally used in the British Army in WW1 and WW2. It was standard issue and very compact in size.
The compass card is luminous so readings can be easily spotted at night. The glass bezel on these compasses have lines at 45-degree angles. The bezel rotate for different adjustments. A sighting arm folds out and readings are taken with a magnifier.
The compass automatically locks when the sighting arm is folded down. This clever mechanism protects the dial and magnetism during transportation. A small knob on the side freezes the compass card for accurate reading. It is 6.5 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm thick and come with their wooden case.
These compasses are ideal for trekking and walking because of their size and weight.
