Original Genuine Antique Brass or Black 1944 British Forces Magnetic Training Compass in a wooden box . Mark 2
This compass was issued to the British Army & Navy Cadets during the 2nd World War as training equipment.
It's a light compass that would fit in a pocket , so it can be easily carried around. There is a button on the side which has to be pressed to release the compass dial for it to point in the right direction. A small glass window on the side is for viewing the internal readings.
This compass was the starter version of the more elaborate prismatic compass which is also listed on our page.
Compass dimensions 6cm diameter & 2,5 cm thick.
This compass was used during 2nd World War. so please expect some wear & tear it's 75 years old.
