Antique 1930's English Black #200 Series Bakelite GEC (General Electric Company Co) Geophone
The 1930s Antique black round-cornered pyramid Geophone bakelite telephone was made by GEC (General Electric Company Co ) in England. It has the GEC mark behind the phone and on the inside of the handset. The 1930s Geophone was also called a series #200 phone. They are becoming extremely rare and collectable because of their classic shape. Please note that this is an original phone from the 1930s, and will have some wear and tear.

Prestige installations of this model included the liner Queen Mary, Royal Train, LMS Railway, Gleneagles Scotland, HK Lewis Books in London etc.
The General Post Office (GPO) of the United Kingdom carried also the sole responsibility for providing telecommunication services across the country.
All our antique telephones are fully stripped down, polished & rewired with hand platted cords in our workshop near Oxford , England. The phones have all original fittings inside and we try to keep all the original parts wherever possible. They come fitted with a standard British connection & all International customers ( USA, Europe, Asia Etc) will be provided with a RJ11 adapter, so the customer can use the phone on any fixed analogue telephone line.
