Antique 1930's Siemens Brothers London Black British Bakelite Wall Telephone
This wall bakelite telephone is in superb condition. It was made by British Siemens Company London in the early 1930's. It has a beautiful internal bell ringer and is the best wall bakelite telephone money can buy. This series of wall phones were made by Siemens brothers of Woolwich London from 1931. The automatic telephone manufacturing company (ATM ) also made a broadly similar device. This range was made for private systems such as hospitals, hotels etc. This model is an extremely rare and collectable telephone.

The exclusive Arts Club Hotel opened in Dover Street London. Ahura Collectables have supplied and maintain a number of these phones for the hotel. On each floor just outside the lift on the lobby wall hangs one of these wonderful phones Siemens phones. In each of the magnificent bedroom suites there are 2 x 1940's GPO British black bakelite telephones one on the desk table in the lounge and another on the bedside table. WINSTON SUGAR an independent production company of SKY STUDIOS purchased the above telephone for a series about a doctor's surgery in 1930's colonial Bengal, India.
Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios : Watford purchased this model for a 1930's detective series.
All our telephones are fully stripped down, polished & rewired with hand platted cords in our workshop near Oxford , England. The phones have all original fittings inside and we try to keep all the original parts wherever possible. They come fitted with a standard British connection & all International customers ( USA, Europe, Asia Etc) will be provided with a RJ11 adapter, so the customer can use the phone on any fixed analogue telephone landline line.
