Rare Antique Swiss 1950's Black Bakelite Wall Telephone
This telephone was made in the 1950 by WEIDMANN of SWITZERLAND for the Swiss RAILWAYS. This model was fitted to the wall at railway stations all over the country . Like any excellent Swiss engineered product, it a has beautifully crafted internal mechanism. Please see the picture below. The body in excellent condition. The chrome bells have a beautiful loud ringing sound. These phones have a wonderful feature that allows you to hang the telephone receiver to a hook under the body if you want to walk away during a call without hanging up. As shown in the picture the internal mechanism is in immaculate condition as expected in Swiss products. Superb telephone for a serious collector.

All our antique telephones are fully stripped down, polished & rewired with hand platted cords in our workshop near Oxford , England. The phones have all original fittings inside and we try to keep all the original parts wherever possible. They come fitted with a standard British connection & all International customers ( USA, Europe, Asia Etc) will be provided with a RJ11 adapter, so the customer can use the phone on any fixed analogue telephone land line.
