Bronze Bakelite Mouth 1930's Style Wooden Wall Telephone with a Shelf
This type of wall telephone was first made during the 1920s & 1930s and has a round bakelite mothpiece. The box is made out of beautifully polished wood and a shelf to place a pen or paper.
The bells on top of the box visibly ring when calls are received on the telephone.
The body is made of beautifully polished wood with brass, bronze, chrome or black fittings ( earpiece, mouthpiece, dial, bells).
The bells have a loud old ringing tone when receiving an incoming call.
It is 34 cm in length, 17.7 cm wide, depth 10 cm & weighs 3.5 kgs when packed.
All our antique telephones are fully stripped down, polished & rewired with hand platted cords in our workshop near Oxford , England. The phones have all original fittings inside and we try to keep all the original parts wherever possible. They come fitted with a standard British connection & all International customers ( USA, Europe, Asia Etc) will be provided with a RJ11 adapter, so the customer can use the phone on any analogue fixed telephone line.
